The 8th Top Hit Music Awards was a unique event having lasted for almost three months from May to July. TopHit delivered awards directly to the offices of the 2020 winners and in some cases even to their private residence.
Producers, composers and artists of most popular songs on the radio & music videos on YouTube were awarded in thirty different categories.
Valery Meladze, Dima Bilan & Max Barskih were recognized as leading performers on the radio in 2020. Each musician reached over three million airplays on Russian radio during the year.
Loboda was named the best artist on Russian radio stations, having reached 2.6 million radio broadcasts in 2019.
Artik & Asti and Ruki Vverh! were the most prominent bands on radio stations in Russia this year.
"Grustniy dens" by Artik & Asti, "Golosa" by Andrey Zvonky, "Instadrama" by Loboda became top hits of the year on Russian radio airplay charts.
Elka and David Guetta were named Artists of this Decade on radio stations in Russia. Songs of each performer very nearly reached 20 million radio airplays in Russia and the CIS countries.
Max Barskikh won a special Top Hit Music award for a record 16 weeks at # 1 on the Global Top Radio Hits chart in 2020. He therefore surpassed previous record holders such as Billie Eilish and Ed Sheeran with the new record duration of being at the top of the Global Top Radio Hits chart.
Special award was given to Zivert – her songs are the most often played today on social gatherings in Russia according to FonMix.
Top Hit Music Awards 2020 was organized by the TopHit music platform.
